More Show lessįrom the previous reviews I knew that this was a quiet island and looked forward to the chance to chill out and have a break from normality. We had all but given up when they did finally arrive to the addressees, it took 7 weeks, but the stamps were a lot cheaper than the €2 we paid in Italy. There is small post office next to the hotel, we mailed postcards there, the postmistress sold us the stamps. There is a small beach right next to the hotel, you can hike to the top of the island to see fortifications that were built in the 30's, a small grocery store is a 5 minute walk-beer is cheaper there than at the bar-and there were some small gift shops nearby. We did not miss TV at all. There is a drying rack outside so you don't have to clutter an already small bathroom with wet stuff. The staff is nice, friendly and accommodating. We had one dinner and one lunch at the hotel and both were very good. Coffee was made to order-and delivered to your table. Lots of fresh fruit, cereal, eggs, yogurt and baked goods. The island is quiet, no cars or motorcycles. The rooms are small but adequate, we were on the side next to the church and heard the hourly chimes, I enjoyed it. I was unable to access the hotel web site from the USA during the winter but Filip answered all my email questions promptly, and sent links for the weather report the week before we arrived. Thank goodness that we chose to arrange transport through the hotel, the taxi picked us up at the airport, an hour of driving and then a short boat trip and we are on the dock in front of the hotel.
